Anyone can stop by anytime to stock the fridge and pantry, following the donation guidelines. 


Anyone can take from the fridge at any time.


We ask everyone to follow the food safety guidelines from the CDC, as well as wearing a mask and gloves while preparing food. 


As of June 25, 2020, the CDC reported that the risk of contracting COVID-19 from food you cook yourself or from handling or consuming food from a restaurant is very low. For more information about the legality of donating food, please see Louisiana Food Waste Policy.


The fridge is checked at least twice daily by volunteers to throw out expired, unlabeled, and non-permitted foods and to check the temperature and sanitize surfaces. 


  • Water and sports drinks
  • Ready-to-eat meals like sandwiches 
  • Ready-to-heat meals
  • Frozen dinners
  • Gogurt
  • Fresh fruit (bananas, oranges, apples)
  • Tuna lunch kits
  • Uncrustables
  • Cooking oil (canola oil, olive oil, etc.)
  • Ground coffee
  • Period products
  • Deodorant, toilet paper, wipes, dental care, and other hygiene products
